The Civil Rights Project Sisak, in cooperation with the Citizens’ Initiative “My City Sisak”, is implementing a two-year project, from March 1, 2024 until February 28, 2026, DIDI: two-way and dynamic integration, which is financed by the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy.
The main goal of the project is to provide support in the integration into the community of persons with approved international protection in the area of Sisak -Moslavina and Karlovac Counties.
In the first year of implementation, the most represented activity is permanent support and legal/administrative assistance to persons with approved international protection, both directly through work with beneficiaries in the offices of CRP Sisak in Sisak and Karlovac, through info points in the field, free info phone, and through field visits to beneficiaries.
In 2024, CRP Sisak will organize two educational workshops on the topic of promoting understanding and tolerance towards persons with approved international protection in educational institutions, and two workshops on ways to better compete on the labor market, writing resumes, using online tools for finding employment / social networks, online platforms/ and similar.
Additional types of activities carried out in the project are meetings with beneficiaries for the purpose of emotional empowerment and distribution of support packages, as well as the creation of an info leaflet with relevant content for beneficiaries.
The project includes 100 direct beneficiaries, both persons with approved international protection who directly participate in the activities of the program, as well as educational workers and students who will be familiar with the problems faced by persons with approved international protection. The goal we want to achieve is raising awareness, the level of understanding and tolerance for better coexistence and reducing prejudices in society. In the same way, the project included indirect beneficiaries, 100 of them – children up to 18 years old, young people, citizens as a general population, members of national minorities, and local and regional self-government.
