Who We Are
Centre for Rural Initiatives (CRI) is a NGO that was registered on 28 April 2011 with the State Administration office in the Sisak-moslavina county. The seat of the NGO is in the village of Klinac, near Petrinja. The NGO was established with the support of the Civil Rights Project Sisak (CRP Sisak), within the project „Enabling mobilisation of local communities in rural areas“, which is financed by the European Union during 2011. The general objective of the project is to build capacity and support activities of a civil society organisation in rural areas of the Sisak-moslavina county in order to empower rural population to be represented and able to participate in decision making process of local self-government and encourage local initiatives and sustainable development of rural areas.
The objective of the Centre for Rural Initiatives is the identification of local development strategy, participation in encouragement of rural development through participation of community members in improvement of rural area, by participation in joint activities in receiving donations to improve and increase the number of population, through sustainable local development. The purpose of the NGO is to encourage and support community members to think of present and future potentials of their rural areas.
