Ombudsman in Sisak-Moslavina County

The Ombusman Lora Vidović, with her colleagues, visited our county and received citizens in Sisak, Dvor, Glina and Hrvatska Kostajnica.

The aim of the visit was to get an insight from the field and which specific challenges are faced by citizens in those areas, as well as to present the institution of ombudsman to as many people as possible. Care of the most vulnerable groups of population, availability of communal services and public transportation, position of civil society and integration of Roma into society were some of topics that were discussed.

The meeting of the Ombudsman with civil society organisations and national minority councils was organised in the CRP Sisak office. The City of Sisak was assessed as a positive example, being socially sensitive and responsible towards all society members. However, NGOs and national minority councils emphasised many problems of civil society and socially vulnerable population.

CRP has been cooperating with the Ombudsman intensively since 2012 and it was agreed that such cooperation would continue, working on individual cases and with civil society.
