On 30 June 2014 in Petrinja, CRP organised a workshop „LEADER methodology – possibilities for rural development“ within the „Europe in my Farm“ project, which was financed by the EU IPA INFO 2012 program.
Ivan Ciprijan, Head of the Department for Local Initiatives and Rural Department, Directorate for managing EU Fund for Rural Development, EU and International Cooperation, of the Ministry of Agriculture, gave a lecture, based on a presentation.
The workshop was attended by the representatives of Family Farms, Local Action Groups (LAG), local authorities and citizens from rural areas. All the present were informed on the latest developments on financing of rural development through the LEADER approach within the Program for Rural Development of the Republic of Croatia 2014-2020.
One of the important conclusions was that LAGs, as the important stakeholder for LEADER approach, needed to work more on building their capacities and that their cooperation with local and regional authorities needed to be improved.
