Visit of OSCE

Representatives of the OSCE Office in Sarajevo and a representative of the Government Office for Human Rights and National Minorities visited CRP Sisak

The Assistant Director of the Government Office for Human Rights and Rights of National Minorities, AleksaĐokic and JasminaViteškić from the OSCE Office Sarajevo, visited the CRP on 30th October 2013 to discuss our activities in working with the Roma minority, as well as to develop our collaboration and to exchange experiences.

The Roma minority is the largest national minority in BiH, marginalized in social and political terms. OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Sarajevo is currently completing the implementation of its regional project “Best Practice for Roma integration” for the Western Balkans funded by the EU. The objective of this project was combating discrimination, advocacy for the Roma rights on political level, regional cooperation and partnership, as well as the legalization of Roma settlements.

At the meeting it was agreed that we were going to share our experiences and plans for regional cooperation and networking, with the aim of improving the position ofRoma in the Western Balkans.
