The Civil Rights Project organized an educational workshop on cheese and cream, within the project „Europe in my farm“, financed by the EU through IPA INFO 2012 programme, and co-financed by the Croatian Government, Office for co-operation with NGOs, on 16th of April 2014. This workshop was organized, in accordance with the main goal of the project, to educate and inform local population in rural part of the Sisak-Moslavina County about laws and regulations that directly influence production of milk and dairy products. Examples from good practice in other European countries, in relation with the topic, were presented to the participants.
President of CRP Sisak and Project Manager Milana Kreća opened the workshop that was attended by 50 participants, gave introduction and presented main activities & goals of the project.
Rodoljub Džakula, owner of the family farm “Džakula” from Sjeverovac near Sunja, continued with the main part – education and presentation „From milk to cheese”. The participants were active in asking questions and talking about their practice, pointing out some practical segments on their farms.
The workshop finished by degustation of cheese and dairy products from the family farm “Kršić” near Sisak, during which the participants continued an informal discussion and exchange of experience and opinions.
