On 12th of April 2012 in Zagreb the Ministry of Justice, under the Twinning Light Project “Improving the system of free legal aid”, held a seminar for state administration employees and representatives of the associations authorized for fee legal aid, which was among others attended by CRP Sisak.
The seminar aimed at improving skills in the further implementation of the Law on Free Legal Aid.
Jasna Butorac, Head of the legal aid department presented a harmonizing overview of the new legislation in the legal aid system. Another issue was also presented there; problems with the alignment of IT system as well as its upcoming changes. Experts from Lithuania have presented a useful improvements and practices in accordance with amendments to the Law on Free Legal Aid.
At the end, the cases from practice were pointed out and discussed after granting of the free legal aid and all in accordance with amendments to the mentioned Law.
