Forum on women’s rights

On 29 September 2010 in the Civil centre Hrvatska Kostajnica, ADELA Centre for women and CRP organised a forum on women’s rights “No excuse for violence”, on the occasion of the National day of fight against violence against women. During the forum, a critical attitude towards the institutions and society in general, where “women’s rights” are not being discussed, was predominant. As one of the reasons, the participants said that there was still patriarchal relationship between men and women.The conclusion was that there were small steps taken in achieving women’s rights, but we all have to continue with efforts in order to decrease number of molested and killed women.
